Winter lights

Every day morning lights.

Every year I´m asked to take a winter light photo in that rare moment when the trees and the sun meet in a beautiful way. That small lump of a branch in the front is not good but this will have to do.

  1. I love the first one with its dead straight blurs, and the second one is really beautiful. The piece of snow at the front looks like a little sleeping snowman, slumped over a branch!

  2. I agree with Sarah. You have captured the image of a sleeping snowman.

  3. Won't get an argument from me either -- definitely a sleeping snowman. Love the blue skies and snow and the night shot is awesome! Your photos just keep getting better and better, Pietari! Stay warm!

  4. Sarah has the right eye! and I see the same ... It is absolutely one hundred percent a sleeping snowman and the light, the light ... finally the sun again, it never shines as bright as in the winter!

but that night the picture is the sensation ... it must be the "Knight Bus" for Harry Potter ... there is magic in the game, there is unmistakable! I am more than impressed!

  5. Nice photographs! No snow here yet, though it's anticipated that this weekend will change that. Cheers!

  6. The light on clear days have been almost like the light of spring. It's funny. We still have a long way to go through snow.

  10. the first shot is almost a metaphor how we should speed through winter and its deadly cold beauty., as for the second shot you captured a delicate, perfect, snowy tree, whose beauty the suspended (impaled?) humanlike snow figure denies. creepy and lovely, congrats.

  11. Wonderful shots - both the action in the first, and the snow and sun in the second.
